Raised Vegetable Gardens and Compost Bin

My latest project has been fun and hard work, but I am pleased with the results, there is some finishing off to do on the boxes and also levelling out the soil, plus a mowing strip around the edges and then it is on to the large garden, about three times the size. All the timber is upcycled. The tyres had been used as the compost bin, but will be reused to grow some more strawberries next season.I have the whole project on my blog if you would like to have a look.
Happy gardening.
The two raised vegetable gardens with the compost bin
The compost bin is ready to go, the front slats slide out to make it easier to turn the compost.
These are for the birds drinking and bathing on a mini pallet.

Michelle, please be careful when using tyres to grow edibles as it is now known that chemicals leach from the rubber tyres into the soil and are taken up by the plants. Not a problem if the plants are flowers only but might be for edibles. You don't know what you might inadvertently be ingesting. Love the raised beds by the way!

@Carole Thanks Carole, it was a fun project, good for the fitness, some of that wood is heavy and cumbersome. Thank you also about the tyres, I had never heard of that before, especially as a lot of people use them for growing small crops of potatoes. We need much more room for ours, I might do some research before I plant them with the strawberries.

You have been hard at work. Love your little bird-bathing station.

@Douglas Hunt Hi, thank you Douglas, the birds have certainly enjoyed those two saucers for a number of years now, they have a thin layer of ice this morning, a wee bit chilly here.
