Restoration Hardware Deconstructed Chair Knockoff

I took a $5.00 thrift store cane chair and turned it into a Restoration Hardware Deconstructed chair! The fabric for this project was less then $20.00! #Salvaged
I sanded the chair, stained it and wax the base to protect the finish.
I removed the caning and then I reupholstered the fabric pieces. I covered the exiting buttons in small squares of fabric using fabric spray adhesive.
I put the chair back together using black upholstery tacks on the bottom burlap area.
When I originally got this chair I made the mistake of painting the fabric, it made the fabric really hard and uncomfortable but it also "glued" the fabric to the foam inserts which made it very hard to separate when I was taking the fabric apart. If you have any intentions of reupholstering fabric furniture don't paint the fabric as a temporary fix!
