DIY Gold Orchid Clips

The Blissful Bee
by The Blissful Bee
So I finally found an indoor plant that isn't deadly to cats. Yippee!! I have always loved Orchids, but after my scare with Lilli's a few months ago (Lilli's are deadly to cats if ingested), I didn't want to bring in any more flowers because I was worried about them being poisonous to cats. Thankfully after some google research, I found out Orchids are safe!
Now that I've found a safe plant for my kitties, I see myself filling my home with Orchids! The only downside to Orchids are those tacky stem clips. The flowers are SO stunning, but I've always been bothered by those dang clips! I know they have to be there to hold the stem up, but that doesn't mean they have to be ugly! As I'm sure you already know, I love all things gold, so making the decision to spray the clips gold was a no brainer.
I know the brownish green clips are intended to blend in with the Orchid stem, but we all know they don't. I figured why not just make them stand out even more by giving them a beautiful coat of gold spray paint.
After a few coats of paint, my once ugly clips are now show stoppers! I love the bright gold with my purple/pink flower petals too!
