Try Wallpaper to Add Interest

My front entry/stairwell wall was looking pretty boring. I'm still trying to eradicate the boring Builder's Brown.
I came across Peel and Stick Wallpaper at Target...of all places. Who knew Target sold wallpaper? This blue and gold crosshatch/weave was just too pretty to leave at the store. I decided to try it on my stairwell wall.
First, measure the area to be covered, one length at a time. Lay out the wallpaper on a flat surface, measure, and cut.
Next, start hanging! Peel back about 6" of protective covering from the sticky side of the paper. Gently position it at the top. Check, and recheck, that your seam is going to lay straight down the entire length of the paper. Slowly peel off the back and smooth it onto the wall.
Trim off the excess using a utility knife.
Be careful when trimming. Don't cut the trim board and leave a mark! OOPS! Also, remove any rings you might be wearing. The hard surface began to rub off the pretty metallic finish from the paper.
Done!! What an amazing transformation! I love it, and have received many compliments on it. "Absolutely Stunning" was my favorite.
Here is a pic of the back side of the entry/stairwell wall. This is seen from the family room.
And here is a side by side comparison - Before and After!
