Tips to Make DIY Signs With Perfect Lines - Cheap

Easy
Whenever I have a project that has words, I beg my brother in-law to cut out the saying in vinyl for me. I love the sharp perfect lines that vinyl gives you. However my brother in-law gets busy, so I figured out an easy & cheap method to DIY those sharp perfect lines.
For this sign I wanted a rustic look, so I stained a reclaimed wood slat that I removed from a free pallet. I let the stain dry for a day or so. Then on the computer I printed out a saying in a fun font. For the template to this "things" sign, visit blog post.

Trace words onto tape and cut out, see blog post for easy tips.
Paint, pull the tape off and there you go!
I love this method of sign making. I don't have to buy expensive vinyl cutters, I can stop bothering my brother in-law and I can still have the perfect lines that I love.
