5 Ways to Use Chives

Chives are a prolific, perennial herb in many home gardens. It’s super easy to grow and doesn’t take much care at all to keep producing year after year.
The possibilities with this flavorful and healthful herb go way beyond just garnish on top of baked potatoes and sour cream.
Try clipping the blossoms to make a flavorful and beautifully-colored infused vinegar that makes great gifts, delicious salad dressings and much more.
Use them fresh to make pesto, muffins, even jelly that goes great with cheese and crackers – not to mention another lovely homegrown, homemade gift to include in hostess gifts, holiday baskets, and welcome to the neighborhood boxes.
