Paint an Antique Gold Faux Finish #PowerofPaint

After painting a wall mural in a client's nursery, they asked me if I knew where they could find some antique gold mirrors similar to what they saw on a nursery website.
The only problem? The mirrors the designer had used were one-of-a-kind heirloom mirrors. Trying to find a collection of matching mirrors was nearly impossible. Not to mention very pricey.
After numerous trips to our local thrift stores and some trial and error with gold paint, spray paint, liquid leafing, and more I finally landed on the perfect base color of gold.
I was luckier with the 'antiquing' color. Check the blog for the color I used.
Antique gold heirloom frames are indeed priceless. But you can mimic the look for under $10 (not including price of the frames).
