Does anyone know of a product that you can buy that will, attach and butt up against vinyl or aluminum siding that will create a smooth vertical surface eliminating the sawtooth effect of the siding, only need this product to be an 1" or 2" wide. If you know of such a product please give me the company name and contact info.

What are you trying to achieve? Are you talking about protecting the edge of the siding where you cut it? Vinyl accessories have U shaped finishing trims that can be run along the edge of the siding where you cut it to fit at the top. This can be used on sides as well. There is a tool that notches the siding that prevents this trim from coming loose. It is called under sill trim

I want to run vertically up the side of homes with a strip of something that eliminates the peaks and valleys (sawtooth effect) of siding. Just want to slap it on and attach it over the top of siding anywhere on the house.... WE ARE.NOT CUTTING THE SIDING. We just want to lay it over the siding making it smooth, no sawtooth.

Visualize a wooden board or any other type of material that we can simply attach over the siding vertically and this board fits perfectly into the sawtooth peaks and valleys and then the other side would be the smooth surface facing outward.
