Coastal Style Decorated Bookcase X 2

After months and months of trying to decide what to do with a very long wall in my beach house living room, I finally stumbled upon a photo in one of my favorite home decor catalogs and found the solution to my problem. I had already had an IKEA Vittsjo bookcase that I had painted and had been using in another area of the room. I decided to double up and get another, creating a "wall of bookcases" along that huge wall. It filled the space and allowed me to fill the bookcases with some of my favorite coastal home decor accessories and finds! You can get the full details at the blog, http://www.houseontheway.com/beach-house-decorated-bookcase-x-2/
Two is so much better than one! A pair of IKEA Vittsjo bookcases fill the space and create the look of a wall of bookcases.
Fun accessories are always a plus when it comes to decorating a bookcase. Add pops of color with small objects.
Coastal decor is easy to achieve with twine and shells. The natural look of the twine fits right in with the style and the shells can be gathered as you walk along the coast.
You can find the perfect coastal decor accessories at stores like HomeGoods and I love to find them at local flea markets.
With a small separation between the two bookcases, you can give the illusion of a wall of bookcases but still keep the idea that they are two separate pieces.
This blue Coral and greenery are great ways to add additional pops of color while still keeping the elements of nature in the space.
