Designer Metallic Epoxy Basement Floor

Seattle Surfaces
by Seattle Surfaces
This old basement floor was in need of updating to match the clients modern style remodel. They opted for a metallic epoxy done in Titanium and Gunmetal. It was sealed with a high performance gloss urethane.

Oh wow, what a beautiful metallic epoxy flooring that was done right there. What type of tools would you need to do that type of flooring? This question what came to my mind because it's giving me an idea about doing it on my basement floor. http://www.cretecoatings.com/#!epoxy-broadcast-floors-nc/c10cs

We always grind the floor or shot blast to prepare the surface for this type finish. Beyond that, a drill and jiffy mixer attachment to mix the epoxy, a gauge rake to spread it, and a roller or a magic trowel to manipulate the pigment. You will also need some good painters tape and a few disposable brushes. These are typically a DIY type project, so I would encourage you to practice on a board or something to try and get the effects you want and to get the timing down.
