Before & After Chest Dresser

I needed a piece of furniture that would stand out in my all white guest room with aqua & teal accent pieces. Every piece of furniture is white, so I needed a space saver I could paint in a shade of blue that could mimic both aqua & teal. I was searching on Pinterest & I found the perfect color! It's Behr paint & color is called Gulf Winds. I purchased it in eggshell, I believe. I bought a white chest dresser with polished brass knobs & handles for $30 on Craigslist. It was a steal!
Sorry I don't have a picture of the before piece. It was brush-stroked in a shiny white paint & the knobs & handles were a polished brass. So, anyway, this was something I didn't want to distress, so this is how it turned out -->>
First, I stripped the white paint off completely. It was either I do that or break my back trying to get all the brush strokes gone & the piece evened out. This was much easier. I rolled the paint on with a 4-inch roller.
I decided to stencil the sides with Annie Sloan Old White chalk paint. The stencil was $1.30 by Martha Stewart Living at Home Depot. So, I stenciled both sides.
Here is a close up. Luckily, not one roller imprint or area showing strokes. I spray painted the knobs & handles with Rust-Oleum metallic satin nickel. I loved how they turned out. Looks much better with this color then brass.
Here's the other side of the stenciling.
And wallah! This is now caddy corner in my guest room. It just was a coincidence that the white lanterns almost match the stencils on both sides. I love how it turned out! What do you think? Any feedback is appreciated.
