Sandy Pudoff on Jul 26, 2014I am not positive, but they look like the babies that turn into those giant 2-3" locusts like things we get in the south. They look innocent enough when small but can eat your whole garden in 2 days as adults. I am not an expert!Helpful Reply

Meredith bungard on Jul 26, 2014Ok I have found these on line and they are not cicadas or locust.these are adult tree lice or tree cattle. they move together like a herd of cows ! they are beneficial to trees and the article said not to destroy them , leave them alone. they are kinda fasinating the way they all move in unison. they are about a 1/4 inch long.Helpful Reply
