How to Make Your Own Prunes

Not all plums are suitable preserve as prunes, but if you have a prune plum on your homestead or access to them at your local farm, then you've gotta learn how to make your own prunes.
Prunes ain't just for Grandma! Prunes are extremely high in vital vitamins and have a great flavor that blends wonderfully in homemade granolas and on your morning cereal. They also make excellent superfood for babies.
Make sure you pick ripe, sweet plums. After that, all you have to do is cut out the pit and place them on the dehydrator tray or baking sheet (if you're dehydrating in your oven).
