This is where I want to grow mini herb garden, or potted herbs

It looks like you have a table there, but maybe you don't want to use it for your display. You can always make a hanging shelf (ves) for the windows. It would give you some privacy and still allow plenty of light in. Hang them in front of the blinds from the ceiling so you can control the light/privacy issue.Then you still have use of the table surface too.

I am going to try a hanging herb garden- I placed an extension rod in the window frame of my kitchen window and will be hanging the herb pots on it once the herbs start growing. I've started the herbs I want to grow in cute little coffee cup planters that I found. Once they are growing well, I am bringing them inside to hang on the tension rod.
