Protein is an important nutrient for your laying hens and growing chicks. Mealworms have approximately 49% -+ protein. You can give a little protein boost here and there by "farming" your own mealworms.
Mealworms ready for my flock to consume
-Buy yourself a two or three drawer plastic container or you can use an old dresser.


-Order some mealworms online or buy them from a sporting goods or bait & tackle store


- Buy a large supply of meal or bran (corn, oat, wheat)
