Kathy Betzen on Jul 27, 2014Definitely a re-modeller/carpenter! A plumber would tell you the same thing! Most re-modellers will do the plumbing for you at the same time.Helpful Reply

The Garden Frog with C Renee on Jul 27, 2014Kathy is right you call a carpenter but ask for references and pictures! Ask to see insurance too. Get everything in writing and do not assume anything. Most reputable contractors will have a plumber they use and they will have estimates and costs in writing. they will not be afraid or hesitate to show you their credentials.. Have at least 3 carpenters come out and then check the internet and google the name to find out if he has anything and check your local courthouse-many are online now so you can do searches. do not mean to scare you but at least once a week I hear about someone being taken in my subdivision.Helpful Reply

Mcgypsy9 on Jul 28, 2014Pat...you should try Angie's List for your contractor. It is very cheap, like only 3 to 4 dollars a month for her services and they are well worth finding the right people. Especially here in NC. Everyone here thinks they are contractors, don't let them rip you off!! It is www.angieslist.com.Helpful Reply

Jeanette S on Jul 29, 2014When my nephew did this to his 1960s home, he first used a plumber to get that part finished and then he called in a tile man who put in the foundations and necessary flooring for the shower and tiled from shower floor to ceiling! It is stunning!Helpful Reply
