Tomato Slicer Or Photo Holder

We don't always have to use things as they were originally intended, now do we?
I found this tomato slicer at a yard sale recently for 50 cents. At the time I bought it I had no idea what it was other than it was a vintage kitchen tool, had a cool red wooden handle and was 50 cents. Did I mention it was 50 cents?
After I got it home, I decided to repurpose it into a photo holder. Or in this case a postcard holder.

Tomato slicer one moment. Photo holder the next.
This is the before photo.
Look at the hack saw looking blades on this thing. Wonder how many fingers were mangled just trying to make a BLT sandwich?
It does cut a mean slice of tomato though.

Jeanette S on Jul 29, 2014LOL! Hey, take out the card, cut the tomato, rinse off the tomato cutter, reinsert card...works for me! HA! It could also hold a recipe card for you!
