Duluth Mn Seriously Flooded-1st time ever!

We have received over 10 inches of rain, who would have thought the city on a hill could ever flood?? Well it did! Here are some photos I took today from all over the city, we are under a state of emergency with more rain expected tonight! Just crazy!

We never know when a disaster will strike. We went over 40 years before hurricanes hit my area. We were unprepared but survived. Pay attention to any warnings & take care of yourselves. Then be thankful.

Holy cow! That must freak you out a bit. I do hope you remain safe and suffer minimal (if any) damages!

@ Missy -Incredible!! Too bad some of that rain can be shifted to NM to put out those massive forrest fires!!! Has any water gotten into your home??

@BJ - sure hope Andover is far south enough that the water has lost its umph before it gets that far!!

@Sherrie - when an area has no history of adverse weather conditions or natural disasters ...»

happening - and then it does, sure makes you sit up & take notice. Last Aug. our area had a 5.6 Earthquake and the epicenter, in Mineral, Va., was only about 10 mi. from us!! No damage thankfully, at least structurally. The psyche - ummm - that was a different story. Kind of unnerving to say the least!!

Susan, I was thinking the same thing. We could use that water out here for all our wildfires. But Missy, I hope you and yours stay safe and dry.

In Florida we find South Florida begs for rain to stop. In Central Florida we beg for rain.

We are only a couple hundred miles apart. Laws of Nature rule everything.
