I have a lot of leftover wallpaper. I am going to throw it out or give it away unless I can reuse it for something.

I do too! I like to use it for shelf liners, and it's great for furniture makeovers!

Line drawers, shelves and under the sink cabinets!
  • Donate it to school, church or local art programs. The kids can make all sorts of neat things with this type of paper.

Use it to line the back of a book case or display case to jazz it up a bit. Use it for making a colourful splashback for the kitchen - put under Perspex to keep it dry - really changes the look of a kitchen. Change the paper when you get bored with it. Frame it and use it as wall art. Give it to kids to cover school books. Cover magazine or storage boxes with it. Use it to cover a lamp shade - double sided sticky tape will keep the paper on a simple, cheap, drum shaped lamp shade and make it look more expensive than it is. Simply change the paper when you change your décor or get bored with it. Decoupage a chest of drawers of furniture to jazz it up a bit with wallpaper. Keep samples in a book to take with you when shopping for furniture to match your décor - never come home with cushions that clash and have to be returned again! Dress up a door by using some of the wallpaper in the door panels. I am sure there must be many more ideas too - someone on here has already mentioned using it for lining drawers.

I know I saw a tutorial somewhere about using wallpaper to make some "new" window shades (gluing it to the old roll-up shade), but I don't remember where? Maybe it was on here somewhere and I just can't find it?

If you like the patterns, they are really good for covering plain lampshades! I have used it to line drawers and it is good for backing for items in frames. Covering cardboard boxes and using them for storage in closets makes for a very pretty and neat finished project!
