Pond by 14 Year Old Boy in a Weekend

My son has been wanting to make a fish/turtle pond. We bought the liner and pump. The rest of materials we already had. Rocks came from the river that he got himself with many trips with a backpack.
First he lined out the shape and went down about 3 inches to start with.
Then he dug out each level. Each level is for rocks to rest on for turtles to lay on. Dug deep in the middle for the fish in the winter.
He laid the liner over it all and started with the middle and little by little added water and rocks to each layer.
Then you need a space foam spray for the rocks on the waterfall. This keeps the water from going out and rocks stabilized.
This is his final product! Very nice and relaxing I have to say.
He is very pleased with it. He can sit and watch the fish and turtles. He loves the outdoors.
The waterfall is so impressing! Feel like I am away on vacation whenever I see and hear it. We are so proud of our son for his hard work and determination.
Enjoyed the project?
