Actually its datura but most just call it trumpet vine -

That's a beautiful datura, Alice. And you present a great example of why common names can be so confusing. To me, a trumpet vine will always be the orange-flowered one, beloved of hummingbirds, that grew up my grandmother's clothesline, which I know now as Campsis radicans. -
These blooms are beautiful. But be sure to keep your pets away from them. They are poisonous. -
yes it is...there are so many varieties too :). I Have some in my yard that bloom the Orange flowers, hummingbirds love them :) -

Jean, sounds like you have the true trumpet vine, Campsis radicans. Alice's plant is a Datura.
