I have this dragon head that has lost it's antiquing over the years. I got the acrylic paint but I'm thinking that won't work outdoors. Any suggestions on how I can give my baby an antique look?

You can get outdoor acrylic craft paint from Walmart or Hobby Lobby. I have painted some outdoor decor with acrylic paint, but then I spray it with a matte or semi-gloss polyurethane spray depending on what look I want. It holds up really well.

why not a wash..say DIY chalk paint but very thin..maybe like weak coffee. Then cover it with flat polyacrylic ...you would not want it with a gloss. Chalk paint does well out doors and with the poly it should hold up well.

Looks great the way it is, but you want to paint it, Donna Byram had the right idea, just put on some weather proof paint if it stays out doors.

I love this dragon head! I have a collection of different dragons in my garden as well. Rustoelum 2x is the best! it comes in a spray in 100s of colors or in small cans in limited colors. I would use brown and green maybe and spray a small section and then wipe off and repeat until the desired effect, then spray a matte coat over the whole head to seal. Add Glitter if you desire. Some of my dragons are girls and I have painted their toenails pink!
