This is a pretty, patterned project. Perfect for your own home décor or to gift. Invite friends to create with you!
There's nothing like the satisfaction of making a gorgeous accessory that serves multiple purposes - a tray, a lovely framed piece of art, even a server for desserts!
Supplies: 2 pieces of same-size tempered or picture glass, Wood Icing™ Textura Paste and Furniture Glazes in Tree Bark and Licorice (find a retailer at WoodIcing.com), a stencil or Modello one-time-use pattern (at RoyalDesignStudio.com), scissors, wide putty knife, picker tool, rags, brushes
If using a Modello pattern, remove the thick backer paper. Carefully lay the sticky design on the glass (once it touches the glass it will not reposition). Burnish with the putty knife. Remove the second backer paper, making sure none of the pattern comes off.
Butter the Textura Paste onto a putty knife and spread over the pattern, just thick enough to cover. Let the paste dry about 50% then hold the glass up to a window to pick off the pattern - very slowly so you don't remove the paste. Let dry hard. Use a hairdryer if you like.
Brush on some Tree Bark glaze and let dry. Brush on Licorice and let dry. Clean off the edges of the glass with a damp rag. Also touch some areas of the pattern with the damp rag to remove a bit of the color, which simulates wood. Let dry.

Lay the second piece of glass on top and you are done!
