I am trying to make the beautiful flower arrangements that I keep seeing on a lot of posts, My biggest question is what kind of glue to use? There are so many out there that when I went to look last night I was so overly confused, Can anyone help me?

    E6000 is my recommendation. But I haven't used the one @Penny H mentions. Would love for oyu to let us all know what you use and how it does!

    It depends on where your flowers arrangements will be - inside or out. If they are going to be kept indoors then a hot glue gun (be sure to get clear sticks) can work well since it's easy to work with. If it will be outdoors I would agree with Penny on the silicone glue. Good luck!

    I would go to hardware store and ask which glue is used for mirrors.

    I have used E6000 before. These items were kept inside & have lasted for a long time. I have also used liquid nails on ceramic tiles, but it does not dry clear. locktite does not work - tried that and would not recommend it

    I bought Aleene's 7800 adhesive. Now I don't know if I should open and try it or take it back and get the E6000 or GE silicone? Anyone used the product listed that I bought?

    I have done bunches of gluing with GEsilicone ll, clear, my stuff has held up for years outside, winter, summer. you can check my posts on hometalk. I have tried E6000 and it is too runny for me. Silicone gets tacky after a short time so your marbles, dishes etc, don't slip and slide. The big tubes with a caulking gun are cheaper in the long run instead of the small tubes, however I do have a hard time reusing them later, so I make my time worth it. Be sure to share your dish flowers with us. @Empress of Dirt - Melissa has a lot of neato things posted and experience too.

      I have set up my dishes pretty much the way I want, so I'm off to get the silicone and will show pics as soon as they dry!

    I went out and got the silicone. Here are a few pictures of what I want to do. I hope it turns out well. :{

    I noticed that not all of the picture height came out correctly, I tried to fix it, but no luck. Hope everyone gets the idea anyway. Thanks.

      @Traceycater well it is a gorgeous plate for doing flowers with! Any color will do when doing these flowers because it is not like they are real...in a real flower sense. Be sure to keep posting what you are doing! it inspires some of us who have put our stuff away. My recent work is those light globes you see in hallways etc, I glued gems on them, and put out on my porch. I am not putting much stuff out in the garden anymore, the water glazes them so bad....grrr I still love my cd discs with gems on and hanging from eaves or trees the best. Sometimes when the sun is shining it is like a disco in here from the reflection!

    The glass fell off the board. Luckily it didn't break! But now I need to know what to use to redo it? I used nail glue and caulk. Any ideas? I really want to redo this, it was a great addition to our backyard.!
