Douglas Hunt on Aug 04, 2014You might want to check out this article from the Las Vegas Review-Journal for starters. Sounds like fall is a good time for planting some fruit trees, so now's the time to start preparing the soil for them. http://www.reviewjournal.com/life/home-and-garden/trees-bear-fruit-desertHelpful Reply

Jeanette S on Aug 04, 2014Just a hint: When you plant your fruit trees, as you fill in put in some 2"-3" diameter PVC pipe angled outward but at different depths so you can easily water the roots. Do not put all the pipe too near the tree trunk and cut it to fit just slightly above the ground. That way you can fill up the pipes and the water will seep down to the plant. We also mound up dirt about 2"-3" in a circle around the base as a well to hold water to seep down to the roots. Good luck. In hot climates, watering is essential so make the best of every drop!Helpful Reply
