need help with idea's for this desk.

I found this metal desk on the side of the road and I want to do something nice with it. I'm not sure what I should do. Any suggestions?

Is this the niche you found for it in your home? Think the black drawer is the problem as pretty sharp contrast to the white. Maybe change it to a shade of grey in your wall colour. Could stencil a pattern on the front of the drawer, or add one of those wooden appliques. Like the knobs.

Think about turning it into a memorabilia desk by creating an old photo top! You know how you have all of those old photos laying around in old albums and in boxes in the closet (from back in the good old days...) Trim them and glue them in a mosaic on the surface and roller paint them with a thin coat of modge podge or have a cheap piece of rounded edge glass cut and place over the photos..instant conversation piece!

If this has some size to it, give it a bit longer legs and what a wonderful kitchen island or work counter, this would be! It would also make a fantastic bathroom vanity, with a glass bowl sink...otherwise, it would be a wonderful addition to any room..it just looks so sad and needs a color all it's own...don't make it blend in, let it stand out! I have a feeling it has been neglected for far too long and is glad to have a new home..let it sing!
