Planting up Some Hypertufa Planters

by Kim Smith
These are a few more of my "regular" hypertufa containers. They have cured, leached, etc and are ready to be planted, so I have potted them up.
I really like how they have turned out. The outside turned out just perfectly to reflect the plastic pot I used as a mold.
And the one that is textured like a wine barrel, yep...love it too.
I have these planted with sempervivums and sedums. And yes, they will stay outside all winter here in Ohio. These plants are hardy to zone 4 or 5, so not a problem. The hypertufa survives better than concrete. ( And I make it thick, as you see.)
I hope you like these as much as you liked the Draped Hypertufa. These are all over my garden now, and I keep making more. Somebody stop me! No, just let me have fun.
I am working them into the regular garden. Pulled up some plants that are not doing well. I will keep posting more. And I welcome any advice you have for me. And visit my website if you would like some instructions. And videos. Thanks for reading.
