My 2nd year of creating this (mostly) perennial garden around an old tree stump.

Kristen, how pretty this is and . . . .you actually have grass!! I'm so jealous when I see these lush, luxurious lawns!! OK. so I see the cabin bird house BUT I also see a metal bird cage too!! What's it's purpose - just for interest? Is that a Dahlia I see? It's gorgeous. Is that what is called a Cactus Dahlia?

I have a plant in the birdcage. The back is open so and I liked the shape of it.

Kristen - thank you! I knew there was a logical reason, besides interest!! LOL

It looks like a cactus type of plant in there but w/the bars from the cage I couldn't tell if the plant was inside the cage or not!! Well, your vignette is beautiful and the dahlia is awesome!!

I still love your peaceful place! How is it doing in the heat?

I grew up in Waterford, ie New London, do you still have fireflies, lightning bugs ????????

And I remember we could smell the fragrances of the flowers at night I guess because of the humidity, now all we smell here (i t is dryish) are fabric softeners from dryers.

Can you go out there at night without getting eaten up by mosquitoes?

    Love it,
