Hibiscus - A Prolific Summer Bloomer
by

I planted a hibiscus in my yard nearly 20 years ago and it rewards me with blooms year after year in late July and early August. The blooms are large, sometimes as big as a dinner plate, and last one day. My area of Virginia is riddled with deer and in my yard they leave this plant alone making it a gardening no brainer for me!
Love the pretty pink color of this hibiscus. At times the folds of the leaves make the bloom look almost striped.
This plant has at least ten blooms on it at once.
The bud reminds me of a rose.
