Ribbon Storage Solution

I have been on a quest to get all of my crafting supplies under control and organized. One of the hardest ones for me is the ribbon I use in all of my projects. I had never been able to find a solution that kept them corraled and the ends not dangling and getting in the way all the time - that is until now.
I found this old "vintage" canister set at my local thrift store for $2. It was had an oak finish to it that was quite worn and time dated. So I decided to paint it with some DIY white chalk paint. I then free handed numbers on each of the lids with a Sharpie marker - just because I had fallen in love with numbered things on Pinterest and wanted to make something for myself. I then sanded it and waxed it.
For the ribbons I simply wound them on to clothespins and caught the ends in the pin itself. This keeps them all nice and neat and tucked in out of the way.
Then I placed the ribbon pins in the jars - separating them in the way I use them. #1 has all my neutrals and blacks, #2 - all the colored ribbon and #3 - has all my texture ribbons and twine. I love it because I can see through the jars and pick out the exact one I need and they stay nice and neat and untangled. For more details please follow the link below.
