Quick and Easy Updates With Spray Paint & Hardware

I love thrift shopping for bargains. I generally have a $5 limit. It really helps with impulse buys. So when I saw this desk for $7, I passed on it, only to go back a couple of days later hoping it was still there.
Because this piece was not real wood, but pressed particle board, I passed on it the first time I saw it. NOT to mention the really out of style hardware.
My first step was to remove the hardware and patch the holes with wood putty.
I used some Scotch Blue painter's tape to tape off the edges and the middle of the side drawers. In this picture you can see that this desk has only 3 drawers although it appears to have 5. I wanted to keep that illusion when I spray painted it with Krylon.
I added some new hardware and a steal of a chair. Hop over to the blog for the complete details.
