I found this fun chair in my parent's basement, but it needed a refresh. The finish was worn off and the legs looked they had survived a flood or two. A fresh coat of paint with a few stripes helped give this chair a new life.
I painted it first in a turquoise chalk paint. I used wax around the edges so it would be easy to distress to show that color (and not as much as the wood).
I added three coats of off white paint and then lightly sanded it down on the edges and spindles.
I used a couple layers of furniture wax to finish it off.
