Table set for my two two-year old grandson. Serves dual purpose - perfect size for dining/snacking and chalkboard keeps them busy while meals are being prepared.
After - chalkboard table & Chair set
End table I found for $8.00 at a resale shop. I brought a quart of chalkboard for $10.00 from Home Depot. I painted the sides and legs of the table to match the kitchen counters with some left over paint from a previous project.
About a month later I found two chairs at the same resale shop for $3.00 each. The chairs were really sturdy so I purchased them to replace the plastic chairs that were purchased when I brought the table.
I disassembled the chairs and painted the base of the chairs yellow. I painted the panels on the back of the chairs white, yellow, and chalkboard black to match the table.
The boys absolutely love having their own area to eat, draw and play. I love it as well. :)
