Make Honeycomb Hexagon Display Shelves

My boys' shared forest-themed bedroom needed some fun display space, so we made these hexagon shelves attached together in a honeycomb shape. Then we let them "style" them however they wanted, which resulted in displays that tilt heavily toward Lego minifigures :). The process was a bit time consuming, but fairly straightforward and very inexpensive! Complete tutorial on my blog: http://boxycolonial.com/diy-honeycomb-hexagon-shelves/
We gave each hexagon a light sanding and stained them with Minwax Special Walnut...
Then screwed them together into honeycombs, hung them up in the boys' room, and turned them loose on them!
