Lois Watkins on Aug 10, 2014This is beautiful but will not just invade but will TAKEOVER everything. A amazingly rapid grower. I bought one at Lowes, planted it 3 yrs, ago..It overtook everything. Sends roots out into the grass. Had to dig it out the next year as it was going to my neighbors yard.Helpful Reply

R.V.R. Farris on Aug 10, 2014We had two plants on our fence at our last house. Every year the Fritillary caterpillars would just about devour both plants. Then, the caterpillars turned into butterflies and the plants would re sprout all along the vines, with the addition of blooms and the butterflies would return and lay more eggs. This went on for ten years. We never had a problem with the vines attempting to take over. I'm guessing the butterflies helped to keep them in check. The passion flowers are an extremely good food source for these butterflies.Helpful Reply

Carole on Aug 10, 2014Passionfruit vine - lucky you. The flowers are beautiful. If it is invasive, could you dig it out and put into a large pot with some trellis for it to grow up. Might even reward you with some fruit.Helpful Reply
