Up date on my unusual Hosta.

Instead of sending up the usual flower scapes, this has a long stem with a cluster of leaves on top, then each leaf has a flower in it.

Wanda Fidler on Jul 20, 2016I have been growing Hosta for years, One of my favorite plants! You can seperate your hosta every year. Each year they should get bigger in size, and the upper sprouts happen when the plant has reached its peak in the season. In the fall, dig a clump of your root out: depending on how big the hosta is, you may be able to get 2 root clumps. Bury them where you would like other hosta to grow, and in the spring you will have a fresh plant. You will never have to purchase hosta again. I am transplanting some this season where we just put up a picket fence. I want some in front, once we get it painted. Happy Planting
