Can anyone tell me about this beautiful vase?

Catherine Smith on Aug 11, 2014Your vase is gorgeous. It looks like it could be porcelain. Is the bottom unpainted or show what appear to be at least 3 "dimples" on the bottom? If it's unpainted it's probably porcelain, since you cannot glaze the bottom of those pieces. The dimples are stilt marks in the glaze, which as to be used when firing to keep the piece from sticking to the kiln shelf.Helpful Reply

Sandi on Aug 14, 2014Yo may also want to try etsy. I looked a vintage silver rouge compact on there and was stunned that such a tiny piece was worth so much money, $250.00. I inherited the compact from my Swedish Grandmother and have had it for 30 years.Helpful Reply
