A Bouquet of Freshly Sharpened Pencils

School is just around the corner - why not give a gift to the teacher (or stationery-aficionado) in your life? Pencils and pens often walk away from desks - by making them a beautiful bloom, they're guaranteed to stick around.
A ribbon and a card makes this a colourful and fabulous gift for the teacher in your life.
Start with a pencil or pen - wrap the stem from the faux flower around the body of the pencil. I also used a little leaf (to add some interest).
Wrap the whole pencil in floral tape. A pencil sharpener will take the tape off when you sharpen - don't worry about that.
Lather, rinse, repeat. Make yourself a whole "bunch" of pencil flowers!
Add a little note. I chose "A bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils" - a line from You've Got Mail.
Put the pencils into a pot (I filled mine with aquarium gravel to keep the pencils upright) and it's ready to be gifted. Pencils will no longer be able to get lost in students' backpacks or pencil boxes - they're a bit too "noticeable".
