Christine - Pearl + Creek on Aug 13, 2014Gray and white are great colors to begin with - are they for the walls? Add some soft bedlinen - also muted colors and make your pillows and cushions the pops of color. Don't forget lighting - a table lamp will add some interest and additional light. Are you keeping the hot pink curtains? Not sure about your budget etc .. Good luck ChrisineHelpful Reply

Diane Arnold on Aug 13, 2014Some light blue sheer curtains and throw pillows to match and one in gold. For your nightstand a small bedside lamp with a white shade, lamp gold in color. Flowers are a nice touch, soft colors. Pink, peach, blue, light yellow, maybe a touch of white baby's breath. With the white comforter add a small light colored throw for the foot of the bed. Add some chunky candles maybe a small dish for jewelry.Helpful Reply

Jeanette S on Aug 14, 2014White fluffy straight shears would go a long way to add a softness. Add a white bedskirt instead of the pink. Then stick to soft, muted colors.Helpful Reply

Carol on Mar 16, 2015I like the idea of gray and white paint and white bed linen. I am also thinking of white or gray curtains depending on the color you paint the walls. A bit of colot in the accessories maybe yellow would work.Helpful Reply

Debi53 on Oct 02, 2015If your white furniture is in good shape, I would leave it white. Paint your walls grey and perhaps do a horizontal grey & white strip on the wall behind the bed (depending on the bedding you choose.) Find a comforter that has a subtle grey & white pattern--nothing to busy or bright.Choose a lighter or darker shade of grey than your walls. Hang simple white or ivory panels on either side of your bed. Let them hang straight and mount them almost to the ceiling instead of at the top of the window. This will make a huge difference. Find your comforter first and match the tone of your curtains to the white tone in your bedding. (If it has a cream background use cream drapes, white background/white drapes.) For a truly sophisticated look, choose a very soft accent color. It can be yellow, aqua, pink, green--just use a very pale version instead of bright.Use grey pillow cases & dust ruffle. If you prefer a bright pop of color instead of pale, find a small accent pillow to go in your room and then buy pillow cases that use one color in your accent pillow. Then put pillow shams that match your comforter in front of your sleeping pillows and then your accent pillow. Choose a metal, glass, or mirror lamp for the nightstand with a black shade. Add a pretty book(s) to the nightstand. Your headboard is really tall, so choose a tall lamp instead of a short one. Find a metal or mirror tray to go on your dresser to tie in with your lamp and decorate the tray with a collection of small trinket boxes, perfume bottles, pretty glass pieces, etc. Every room is better with a living plant, so what about an easy care plant in a pretty container--small basket, tea cup/saucer, etc. on your dresser. See the pics below as an idea. Best of luck.Helpful Reply
