Can anyone identify this red bug?

There were several on my back after crawling under my deck/in my crawl. They smeared with a blood red color.

A bit more info -- it seems they are living on the stalks of my large yellow flowers (don't know what kind) and I had brushed against them -- there are hundreds of them. They don't appear round and are larger than spider mites I've seen. What are they and how do I get rid of these!? the pictures were taken at night I hope they are clear.

I have them on my tomatoes too and some black bugs which are bigger thst flies
