Boy's Attic Lego Room!

We took a teeny tiny loft and made it into a place for 2 boys to sleep and keep all of the Legos. What it lacks in space it makes up for in charm and organization. Hey, you've gotta take what you can get!
The beds are on the floor. It may not seem like luxury to most, but when you're one of nine kids in a small farmhouse, you are thrilled with a space of your own!
The fabulous red metal cabinets from IKEA were exactly what this space needed! Each boy has one and with the addition of shelves we built, it provides a nice sized space to create Lego masterpieces.
No room for chairs, so we added cubes to sit on.
And with simple 1X8s and 1X2s we built custom shelves to completely cover the only vertical wall in the space. The boys have all of those boxes filled with Legos and they use any extra shelf space to display their creations.
