I need ideas on what to use on stone walls in my living room?

Jeanette S on Aug 15, 2014In old homes made of rock/stone, they used to hang pictures from silk cords from the ceiling which was decorated at the ceiling level with a covered disk and tassel. This would easy to duplicate and would not disturb your wall. I would only paint the rock if I found it totally unacceptable. Check to see if the house has any historical significance. If it does, it can be put on the historical registry. In some jurisdictions there are restrictions on old houses...and you may not know until you have abused some rule and find yourself in trouble! Some of thee registrations bring re-do money!Helpful Reply

Sandra Hellewell on Aug 16, 2014@Kellie, I would mix white latex paint with water to make a wash and whitewash the stones. I did this to my fireplace because it the fireplace is large and covered a full wall. It made the room very dark until I whitewashed it! Now it makes our family room light and airy! It's beautiful!! Good luck with your walls!Helpful Reply
