French Pieces & Lessons Learned About What NOT to Paint When Painting

Meet my latest french pieces, a tall chest and matching dresser in Sherwin Williams Nebulous White and Cityscape. The long dresser had been previously painted by someone else and my customer bought it with the intention of having it repainted by me. In order to prepare it for the new paint, I stripped the top and sanded the entire piece. In my blog post on these two pieces, I share a few problems that I noticed in the "before" paint job and suggest some solutions. This dresser was sanded down then painted gray and white colors for Sherwin Williams. More details about process can be found on my blog.

This is the matching piece to the dresser. Both will be used in a client's master bedroom.

The original drawer pulls were spray painted metallic silver then I rubbed black paint on them and wiped most of the black off to achieve a nice aged texture.
