Adding Nailhead Trim To Furniture

I am a big fan of furniture with nailhead trim details. After searching for a round table with nailhead trim I realized there just weren't any affordable options. So I made my own.
I found the round black table at Pier 1 Imports and these large sized nailheads on Ebay.
First we taped off the table to prevent slipping and scratching the surface. We then measured where each nail would go.
We then used a hole punch to notch the areas where we would drill. This also prevents slipping. We used a drill bit slightly smaller than the nails.
Last, we used a rubber mallet to hammer the nails all the way in. If you don't have a rubber mallet you can use a hammer, just be sure to cover the nails with a cloth to prevent damaging them.
