Quick Tip Tuesday - No More Musty Drawers

Here in Western Oregon, things can get a bit musty due to all the moisture. It's one of the few drawbacks to living in such a green, lush area. I kept buying little paper sachets of scent to keep my drawers fresh, but the problem was that they didn't last long and it was hard to find them in a scent I really loved. So I came up with an easy way to get a long lasting scent, use my collection of favorite hankies and save a little money too! Get the full post at the link at the bottom...
Favorite bar of scented soap wrapped
I'm always picking up vintage hankies. Some have rust spots or a little fraying and I can get them for about .50. Perfect for these little sachets. A quick wrap and a little knot at the top makes a pretty little bundle.
A few inexpensive supplies
These little sachets use things that you either have on hand or are very inexpensive to pick up. And even those of you who swear you're not crafty can do this one. If you can tie your shoes, you can make one of these!
Vintage lace and a bit of burlap
The combinations are endless. So, go gather your supplies, make a pile of these beauties and tuck them here and there for a nice little scent treat every time you pull out a drawer. Or make a few for a sweet hostess gift. Visit my blog for a complete tutorial.

Love it...I've been wanting to get some sachets for my dresser, but they can be so pricy. The local dollar store has some of those Yardley soaps. Awesome idea thanks
