Painted of course....but the floor originally had carpet. When we went to pull it up, there was another layer of carpet, then a layer of black looking glue stuck to the floor. My brother said " you have wooden floors !!!! Under all the layers of junk. This house is a 1938...I guess back then the floors were cold. Anyways they pulled all the carpet and gunk up and sanded them down. Then they put on mini-wax..it is a color. This room is actually walnut from mini-wax. Then he put on 2 coats of polyrathane. I know..what a shine..uh ? -
A glow! A gleam! Any special tricks for pulling up old carpet? Sounds like a nightmare!

Great job! I love yellow so it is my kind of room! The floor must have been a big job to get re-done. We dealt with that glue one time and it was a mess! The results can be very satisfying, but the work is just that ...W-0-R-K! -

Miraim, My hubby and brother rented a sander..and it came up. Did all 3 bedrooms in 1 day !!!!
