What a beautiful transformation! White paint is powerful, indeed. Can you tell us a bit more about the project?

I tend to like white paint....but the trend is for oak cabinets like these to be making a comeback.....another option to updating here would be to remove the soffit above the cabinets, add some glass to a couple of the upper cabinets (so many options with glass - visit a local glass shop for options), add a backsplash, add crown to the top of the cabinets....the list goes on. Paint is the cheapest & quickest....and it depends on your personal tastes. If you're planning to sell anytime soon...check the local market for trends in your area.

Thanks Andy! I totally agree with you. At some point, she plans to do a kitchen renovation, so this is a temporary fix to brighten up the space (it's SUPER small).

Love it - not a fan of oak cabinets and paint did wonders! How did you prep your cabinets?
