If you have a bountiful harvest of tomato and basil, or even if you don't, you can easily make these Caprese Crostini Skewers to enjoy fresh tomatoes.
The weather is still warm and this is the perfect appetizer or snack for an elegant gathering or a backyard BBQ.
Simple fresh ingredients – and if you’re lucky the tomatoes and basil are straight from the garden. Add some mini fresh mozzarella.
Buy some fresh bread or make some little crostini rounds from regular bread. Mix olive oil and balsamic vinegar and sprinkle with a dash of homemade basil salt.
Skewer grape tomatoes, a basil leaf, a half of a mozzarella ball and a crostini. Dip your skewer into the olive oil mixture and enjoy!
