Dresser makeover ideas

Just got this dresser and can't decide what way I should work with it. Any ideas?

As someone who has done a lot of painting, that would have been a normal responce for me. HOWEVER.... THIS PIECE IS GORGIOUS JUST LIKE IT IS!!! Use some old english dark on it and leave it alone.

I would leave it as is, too. I like seeing the grain of the wood. Clean it well with lemon oil and then see if you still want to change it. You might want to polish the hardware to make them stand out more.

This piece looks very old and in excellent condition. And since you are posting from Ireland, I would suggest you see what you can find out about what you have before you paint it. If you want to brighten it up, clean it good and add some bright pretty vases on top!
