Piano Bench Makeover

Our old piano didn't come with a bench so we bought a bench at a thrift shop. We shortened the legs to make it fit perfectly at our piano, used an antique grainsack for a new cover on the lid, and painted the legs. It's amazing how cute it is now!
Here is the before - because the after is so much better when you see what it looked like before!
The inside of the bench received a pop of color just for fun.
We used milk paint to paint the legs and the detail shows up so much more now.

Jeanette S on Aug 23, 2014Great idea! I love benches. I covered an old sewing machine bench in the fabric of my dining chairs and it set it under a small table at the end of the big table. If we need extra seating, we have it! A couple of benches are great to have around!
